The Human Resources branch of the Workforce Development Department is responsible for staff recruitment, hiring and professional development. For information about current positions available at Teslin Tlingit Council (TTC), see Job Postings.
TTC employs Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal employees. TTC's hiring priority provides opportunity for well-trained Teslin Tlingit Council Citizens to work and remain in their community. As a result, preference wherever possible, will be given to TTC Citizens who apply for positions with the required skills. Other First Nations applicants will also receive preference. Non-Aboriginal applicants who have the required skill sets are encouraged to apply for advertised positions.
TTC recognizes the importance of professional development for its staff. The HR and Staff Development Officer identifies relevant training sessions, and partners with Yukon College to offer training for staff. Staff are supported to take training programs outside the Yukon where needed. A variety of supervisory skills training sessions are offered on a continual basis throughout the year.
For more information on upcoming training sessions visit our Staff Training service page or contact the HR & Staff Development Officer at 867-390-2532 ext. 317.
