Leadership Process Review
In 2010, General Council initiated the Leadership Process Review. Research was done into the cost of holding an election, which would involve the development of an Elections Act. General Council asked for in-depth consultations with Citizens on this important issue.
The Executive Services Department is working with an external consultant to engage all TTC Citizens in discussion about how to choose the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chief. The review is being conducted with regular input from General Council members. A complex topic, the Leadership Review aims to be complete and recommendations in place by the Annual General Assembly in 2016, when a new leadership mandate will begin.
Executive Council has appointed the Yanyeidi Executive Councillor to lead this review.
