Emergency Medical Assistance

Emergency Medical Assistance is available to Citizens - as a last resort option - to assist with the costs of receiving health care outside the Yukon Territory. This service is also potentially available to help family support loved ones who are medevac’d outside the Territory for medical reasons. Assistance is only provided when Citizens can show they have exhausted all other funding options, such as Health Canada's Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program.

The TTC Emergency Medical Assistance service does not apply to costs that can potentially be covered by other programs or Health Care Plans. Strict eligibility criteria are laid out in TTC policy and applied to every application made.

For more details and to make an application please contact the Health and Social Department’s Administration Assistant on 867.390.2532 ext. 381
